SYSTEM MANUAL Issue 1.0 5 DEC 2009

3 – SET UNIT I.D.

Each printer can contain a unique address to
distinguish multiple printers when controlled by a
single hand held controller or computer data link
using an RS485 data link. The default for each
new printer is ADDRESS 1. Addresses can range
from 1 to 32. It is advisable when adding multiple

printers to affix a label indicating the unique ADDRESS number of the individual
printer.

Note: To program a printer it must be connected directly to the
hand held controller, with no other printers connected.
Note: If several printers have the same address a NO
RESPONSE message or unreliable results may be displayed.
