4 USING THE PRODUCT
4.6 GETTING IN AND OUT
To get in and out of the chair as safely and eas-
ily as possible, please proceed as follows.

1. Position the product in such a way that
there is nothing to hinder its use.
2. Depending on which accessories have been
selected, apply the locking brakes at the
front or rear. If you have opted for four lock-
ing brakes, at least one pair (front or back)
must be locked.
3. Fold up the foot plates and swivel the leg
rests outwards (see Chapter 4.5).
4. Position yourself in front of the chair, stand-
ing as close as possible to it. Turn around
(Fig. 22) and carefully move backwards until
you feel your legs touch the edge of the seat
surface.
5. Grasp the side elements with both hands
and use them to support yourself
6. as you safely and slowly lower yourself into
the shower commode wheelchair.

To get back out of the shower commode wheel-
chair, follow the above steps in reverse.

To prevent the chair from
rolling away of its own accord, the locking brakes
of the swivel wheels must be applied.
Risk of trapping!
When inserting the cover for
the hygiene opening, make sure it is inserted so
that it lies straight.

Please note that body move-
ments shift the centre of gravity, increasing the
risk of the product tipping over.

Support yourself vertically on
both armrests and not in any other way.

Never stand on the foot
plates when getting in or out.

Do not stand with your feet
on the seat surface.

Do not allow any oily or
highly soapy substances to come into contact
with the rubber feet.
