07-47 Trim Weight

Description

1

TRIM WEIGHT

To adjust the airplanes CG, it is possible to install a trim weight in the lower vertical tail. The trim weight
can be varied from 1.0 kg (2.2 lb) to a maximum of 20 kg (44.1 lb) in increments of 1 kg (2.2 lb) by installing
the required number of steel plates. The steel plates are fixed by two bolts in the trim weight container. If
less than 20 kg (44.1 lb) are used, distance bushings must be installed to prevent moving of the trim
weights.

The trim weight system is equipped with a lightning protection system which is connencted to the lightning
protection system of the airplane.

WARNING

THE MAXIMUM TRIM MASS IN THE TRIM WEIGHT CONTAINER
MUST NOT EXCEED 20.0 KG (44.1 LB).

WARNING

EXCEEDING THE MASS LIMITS WILL LEAD TO AN
OVERSTRESSING OF THE AIRPLANE AND THE TRIM WEIGHT
STRUCTURE AND CAUSE A DEGRADATION OF FLIGHT
CHARACTERISTICS AND FLIGHT PERFORMANCE.

NOTE

The removal or installation of the trim weight is limited to authorized personnel. A
detailed remove/install procedure is defined in the Airplane Maintenance Manual.
