PREPARATIONS BEFORE LIFTING A VEHICLE
WARNING
Observe all safety instructions of section 7 from page 10 onwards prior to taking the mobile column lift into service and lifting
vehicles with it.
Improper use of the mobile column lift will put the operator and other parties at great risk of serious bodily injury and death.
Make sure the mobile column lift is parked on dry, level and solid ground. Start with the main power switch in OFF status and the
main power plug disconnected from the electricity network.
Position the vehicle at the required position in the workshop.
Use the pallet jack system to move the lift columns around (see section 9.1 on page 19) and position them in front of the tires to
be lifted.
If not yet done so, follow the instructions in 9.5 on page 23 to connect the master and slave column.
If required, follow the instructions in 9.6 on page 25 to connect multiple mobile column lifts together.
Install the tire adaptors on all lift forks if vehicles with small diameter wheels should be lifted.
When you are sure that the mobile column lift can be used safely, connect the main power plug to the electricity network and
switch the main power switch ON. Make sure the EMERGENCY STOP button is disengaged. Press the RESET button.
Use the configuration selector to activate only 1 mobile column lift (2 columns) or 2 mobile column lifts (4 columns) in a
synchronized way.
Use the electric controls to lower the lift forks to the lowest position. Make sure the master and slave column are level, i.e. at
equal height from the ground. Follow the instructions in 9.8 on page 28 to level the 2 columns if this is not the case.
When all lift forks are level, push the forks under the tires.
For single wheel vehicles, make sure the tire is fully supported by the forks. For dual wheel vehicles, make sure the outer tire is
fully supported by the forks.
WARNING
When the outer tire is only partially supported by the lift forks, the tire may slide or shift off the fork and the vehicle may fall
down or tilt over. This can cause serious bodily injury or death to the operator and casual bystanders, as well as property
damage to the vehicle and mobile column lift.
Therefore, ALWAYS make sure the outer tire is fully supported by the lift forks prior to raising the vehicle.
If the wheel has a rim, watch out when positioning the forks, to avoid damage to the rims (and to the mobile column lift).
Use the pallet jack mechanism to the lift columns until they fully rest at the ground.
