SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE MOBILE COLUMN LIFT
7.1
DO NOT USE MOBILE COLUMN LIFT WITHOUT ADEQUATE SAFETY AND OPERATOR TRAINING
DHOLLANDIA mobile column lifts shall be exclusively used to lift vehicles, within the limits of the applicable load chart, in
compliance with the operation and safety instructions in this manual.
The operator should follow all other policies and procedures applicable to the job situation including health & safety regulations,
as well as company procedures The operator should not use the mobile column lift if he/she cannot use it in accordance with all
applicable regulations and instructions.
If the safety instructions of this manual conflict or overlap with local legal regulations, ALWAYS apply the most strict instructions.
The operator shall be at least 18 years of age. Persons under 16 years of age are prohibited in the immediate vicinity of the lift.
7.2
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
THESE SAFETY MEASURES MUST BE FOLLOWED FOR SAFE OPERATION, INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF
THE MOBILE COLUMN LIFT
To avoid serious bodily injury or death, the operator must use appropriate work clothes. NEVER wear loose-fitting clothes,
jewellery, rings or watches that may be trapped in the moving parts of the lift. ALWAYS wear professional safety-toe shoes,
protective gloves, eye protection and a hardhat.

Slipping (and falling) can result in serious bodily injury and death. To prevent injury by slipping:
ALWAYS wear professional safety-toe shoes with a good non-slip sole.
DO NOT use the mobile column lift if it or the surrounding area are covered with snow, mud, dirt, debris,
liquids or other substances.
DO NOT run near a mobile column lift. DO NOT climb on the lift forks or into the vehicle.
Tripping (and falling) can result in serious bodily injury and death. To prevent injury by tripping:
DO NOT use mobile column lift platform as a step.
NEVER leave the mobile column lift unattended in partially deployed or lifted position.
DO NOT stand on or run near a mobile column lift.
Standing on a mobile column lift can result in serious bodily injury and death. To prevent injury by falling:
NEVER stand on the lift forks. DO NOT climb on the lift forks or into the vehicle.
NEVER use the mobile column lift as an elevated work platform.
NEVER use the mobile column lift as a jack or support.
WARNING
Improper use of the mobile column lift will put the operator and other parties at great risk of serious bodily injury and death.
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury to the operator and any bystanders, the use of the mobile column lift is restricted to
skilled operators, who have been properly trained, and who know and understand the full contents of this manual.
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury or death, THE OPERATOR MUST COMPLY WITH ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
AND WARNING LABELS IN THIS SECTION AND THE ENTIRE MANUAL before and while operating the mobile column lift.
