Chapter 5 Ports and Connectors
Graphics Interfaces
Wake-On-USB Keyboard/Mouse
The Wake-On-USB Keyboard/Mouse function allows you to use a USB keyboard or USB mouse
to wake up a system from the S3 (STR - Suspend To RAM) state.
HDMI (or an optional DP Port)
The HDMI (or an optional DisplayPort) is a digital display interface used to connect a display
device such as a computer monitor. Both HDMI and DP can be used to transmit audio and
video data simultaneously. Please note that this is an HDMI/DP combo port but can only trans-
mit HDMI signals (unless wired as a DP port). Please plug in an HDMI cable with the right
orientation and alignment to avoid damage to the connector.
You should feel resistance (due
to a pin on the right) if the cable is not inserted correctly. Please see a video at https://youtu.
be/SUj07rfN5l8 for detailed instructions.
DVI-D (DVI-I connector) Port
The DVI-I port is used to connect an LCD monitor. This port supports DVI-D signals only.
Connect the display device’s cable connector to the DVI-I port. After plugging the cable con-
nector into the port, gently tighten the cable screws to hold the connector in place.
Driver Installation
Install the graphics driver. Refer to Chapter 8 - Supported Software for more information.
The display ports consist of the following:
• 1 HDMI port
• 1 DVI-D port

of the BIOS. Refer to Chapter 7 - BIOS for more information.
Driver Installation
You may need to install the proper drivers in your system operation to use the USB device.
Refer to your operating system’s manual or documentation for more information.
Important:
If you are using the Wake-On-USB Keyboard/Mouse function for 2 USB ports, the
+5V_standby power source of your power supply must support ≥1.5A. For 3 or more
USB ports, the +5V_standby power source of your power supply must support ≥2A.
