PT800-ALE supports single channel memory interface. Data will
be accessed in chunks of 64 bits from the memory channels.
PT880-ALE suppor ts dual channel memory interface which di-
vides the 2 DIMM sockets into channel A (DDR 1) and channel B
(DDR 2). Data will be accessed in chunks of 128 bits from the
memory channels. Dual channel provides better system perform-
ance because it doubles the data transfer rate.
Only one socket is populated with
DIMM.
