2.8.16 SPDIF Connector (CA64-SU only)
The CA64-SU system board uses the Creative ES1373 PCI audio
chip which supports the SPDIF function. SPDIF (Sony/Phillips Digital
Interface Format) is a digital audio interface that provides the
capability of sending a two-channel digital signal from the computer
to a stereo system via the SPDIF connector. Its digital signal
prevents the cable from picking up noises thus providing better
sound quality. Connect one end of the cable to the SPDIF connector
on the system board and the other end to a device that has the
SPDIF input connector.
