BIOS Setup
“ECP (Extended Capabilities Port)”
Allows parallel port to operate in bidirectional mode and at a
speed faster than the normal mode’s data transfer rate.
“EPP (Enhanced Parallel Port)”
Allows bidirectional parallel por t operation at maximum
speed.
If you selected EPP, the “EPP Mode Select” field is selectable. If
you selected ECP, the “ECP Mode Use DMA” field is selectable. If
you selected ECP+EPP, both “EPP Mode Select” and “ECP Mode
Use DMA” are selectable.
ECP Mode Use DMA
This is used to select a DMA channel of the parallel port.
3.1.4.4 IDE HDD Block Mode
Enabled
The IDE HDD uses the block mode. The system
BIOS will check the hard disk drive for the maximum
block size the system can transfer. The block size will
depend on the type of hard disk drive.
Disabled
The IDE HDD uses the standard mode.
3.1.4.5 Init Display First
This field is used to select whether to initialize the AGP or PCI
first when the system boots.
AGP
When the system boots, it will first initialize the
AGP.
PCI Slot
When the system boots, it will first initialize PCI.
3.1.4.6 IDECH0 Access Interface and IDECH1 Access Interface
These fields are used to select the access interface of the IDE
devices.

USB0 Access Interface, USB1 Access Interface and USB2 Ac-
cess Interface
These fields are used to select the access interface of the USB
devices.
