Connecting Cables

Universal Serial Bus Ports

The system board is equipped

with two on-board USB ports at

location J3. USB allows data ex-

change between your computer

and a wide range of simultaneously

accessible external Plug and Play

peripherals.

You must have the proper drivers

installed in your operating system

to use these ports. Refer to your

operating systems manual or

documentation.

VGA Port

The system board is equipped

with an on-board VGA port at

location J12 of the system

board. It is also equipped with

a 15-pin connector (J13) for

optional VGA port cable.

Connect the VGA port cable to

connector J13 on the system

board. Make sure the colored

stripe on the ribbon cable is

aligned with pin 1 of connector

J13. Use a small nutdriver to

mount the VGA port into a

cutout in the system chassis.

Note:

J12 and J13 does not exist on the 586ITOX/L system board.
