NOTE:

Each wire grid consists of two sides – a “short” side and “long” side. If you plan on sliding objects on

and off of the shelf from the front of the rack, then we recommend having the “short” side of the grid facing

upward. If you plan on sliding objects from the side of the rack, then we recommend having the “long” side

facing upward.

NOTE:

The use of a step ladder is recommended for installing components at the top of the Work Station.

1.  It is recommended that a laminated deck is placed on the crossbeams right above the drawer. To install

the laminate deck, place it on the top ledge of the crossbeams. If seated properly, it will “pop” into place

and lay evenly. (Fig. 22)

2.  The last laminate deck can be placed on any preferred set of crossbeams. The recommended location

is on the top set of crossbeams.

3.  To install the wire grid, place the wire grid onto the top ridge of a set of crossbeams. If seated properly,

the grids will “pop” into place and lay evenly. Install the (2) wire grids on the two remaining sets

of crossbeams.

4.  Place a locking grid clip at the outermost corner of the shelf. With your free hand, insert the rolled edge

with the groove facing upwards. (Fig. 23)

5.  With one hand, apply pressure to the back of the clip. With your free hand, insert a flat-head

screwdriver (not included) into the small slot in the clip to spread the tine up and over the wire

that is underneath.

6.  Pull back on the screwdriver. The grooved channel in the clip should now match up with the wire

decking, which will help secure it to the shelf beam.

7.  Repeat Steps 4-6 on the remaining three corners of the wire grid and then again for the remaining shelf.
8.  There are locking pin holes at both ends of every crossbeam. This is where the locking shelf pins are to

be installed. If the pin does not easily slip into place, then moderately tap the end of the crossbeam to

fully seat the locking tabs. (Fig. 24)

Serious injury or death can occur from the rack tipping over. To prevent this, the rack

must be secured to a wall, especially in earthquake -prone areas, or where surfaces are uneven, and where

children and/or pets are present.

Different wall materials require different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for your specific type of

wall. If you are uncertain about what type of fastener to use, then please contact your local hardware store.

Drywall anchors and anchor screws are included with this rack; however, different wall materials require

different types of fasteners. Use fasteners suitable for your specific type of wall. If you are uncertain about

what type of fasteners to use, then please contact your local hardware store.
1.  There are (2) wall mount bracket assemblies to be used to secure the Work Station. One will be installed

on the backside of the crossbeam right above the pull out drawer. The other one will need to be

installed on the backside of the top crossbeam.

WARNING:

UPPER HALF OF WORK STATION (2 PARTS)

FULL WORK STATION (3 PARTS)

NOTE:

It is recommended that one person holds the upright frames in place while a second person installs

the stacking plates.
1.  Remove the top frame caps by using a small mallet or screwdriver (neither are included) to lightly tap

from the underside of the caps. (Fig. 10)

2.  Place a stacking plate on each upright frame by sliding the tabs into the top slots. (Fig. 11)
3.  With the help of an assistant, stack an upright frame on the lower assembly of the Work Station. The

stacking plates will have to be slid up on the lower upright frame to disengage the tabs to get all four

tabs to properly seat into the slots on the stacked uprights. Pull the stacking plate down to engage all

four tabs on the upright frames. (Fig. 11 and 12)

4.  Repeat step 3 on the stacked uprights on the opposite side.
5.  Insert (2) locking shelf pins into each of the (4) stacking plates to ensure that the upright frames stay in

place for the remainder of the Work Station assembly. If the locking pins do not easily slip into place,

lightly tap the stacking plates with a mallet (not included) to seat the tabs correctly. (Fig. 13)

NOTE:

The use of a step ladder is recommended for installing components at the top of the Work Station.

1.  Each set of crossbeams will need to have (3) shelf support straps and (2) safety straps installed.
2.  Starting with the lowest set of crossbeams, place a safety strap between the lower ridges of the

crossbeams where two sets of holes have been pre-drilled. Thread a safety strap bolt up through the

bottom of the pre-drilled holes and through the weld nuts, and fully tighten with the included hex key or

drill bit. Repeat this process for the second strap for this set of crossbeams. Repeat this process for the

remaining (3) sets of crossbeams. A step ladder will be needed for the top two sets of crossbeams to

safely perform this step. (Fig. 16)

3.  For each set of crossbeams, place a shelf support strap perpendicular to the crossbeams, and insert

each end into the slots on each ridge of the crossbeams. (Fig. 17)

NOTE:

The use of a step ladder is recommended for installing the following sets of crossbeams.

1.  Using the same method stated in “Part 1” of the “LOWER HALF OF WORK STATION INSTRUCTIONS,”

install a set of crossbeams on the top two slots of the top pair of uprights frames. (Fig. 14)

2.  The remaining (2) crossbeams can be installed anywhere underneath the previously installed cross

beams. A recommended location would be to install the set of crossbeams six slots below the top

crossbeams in order to fit average sized totes and blow-mold cases. (Fig. 15)

NOTE:

Having a helper will ease the assembly of the pegboard while lining up the mounting tabs.

NOTE:

Refer to Fig. 28 if you are assembling the horizontal Work Station. The (2) pegboard mounting beams

will be used to elevate the pegboard above the shelf to effectively make use of the metal pegboard. Fig. 28

shows the order for installing the parts to create this configuration of the Work Station.
1.  The pegboard can be mounted at any desired location on the back of the Work Station with the use

of the (2) sets of left and right rear mounting brackets. Ensure that the hanging tab arrows are pointing

upwards on the rear mounting brackets. (Fig. 25)

2.  It is recommended that the rear pegboard mounting brackets be installed with the first set of left and

right rear mounting brackets placed right above the stacking brackets on the rear of the Work Station.

Slide down the brackets to fully seat them into the slots of the upright frame. (Fig. 25)

3.  Place the second set of rear mounting brackets above the already mounted set of rear mounting

brackets with a single slot in-between. Slide them down to seat them. (Fig. 25)

4.  Install a single locking pin into each of the rear mounting brackets. This will ensure that the brackets do

not shift around and fall while the pegboard is being mounted. (Fig. 25)

5.  The pegboard is mounted in between the rear mounting brackets by sliding the pegboard down from

the top of the rear mounting from the backside of the Work Station. Ensure that all of the tabs on the

rear mounting brackets are inside the pegboard and are fully seated. A rubber mallet or small dead blow

(neither are included) can be used to lightly tap the top left and right corners of the pegboard to seat

it properly. (Fig. 26)

6.  Each rear mounting bracket will have (2) small pin holes where the pegboard is mounted. Use (2) small

locking pins for each rear mounting bracket. If the pins do not easily slip in, use the mallet or dead blow

technique stated in step 5 to seat the pegboard fully. (Fig 26)

2.  Take the U-shaped bracket and rock it up at an angle to attach it to the bottom inner channel of the

crossbeam. Once attached, the back portion will sit flush against the inside of the crossbeam. (Fig. 19)

3.  Once attached, the U-shaped bracket can be moved from side to side (in between the two safety

straps). This allows for it to be attached to a 2 x 4 in the wall. (Fig. 20)

4.  The L-shaped bracket has two sets of four square holes that allow you to adjust the distance of the

rack to the wall. Use two carriage bolts and two 10 mm nuts to attach the L-shaped bracket to the

bottom of the U-shaped bracket. (Fig. 21)
