Your powder‑accuated fastening tool should be cleaned
after every use and general tool maintenance should be
performed at six month intervals or after firing 5000 loads.
AIl parts should be cleaned with the wire brushes supplied
with your tool kit.

Disassembling the Tool and Cleaning
To maintain this tool in good working condition, it is
necessary to disassemble and clean the entire tool if dirt
is evident in the breech face, or if the tool appears to
lose power.
Prior to cleaning the tool make sure there is no powder
load in the tool. Use caution and do not lose or damage any
tool parts.
1. Remove the single shot nose

2. Press the barrel assembly release button

and unscrew
the barrel assembly

to remove it.
3. Remove any dirt buildup on the piston and threads
of the single shot nose or magazine with the flat wire
brush

. Check the condition of the piston for damage
from wear and deformation.
4. Use the small round brush

to remove any
buildup from inside the barrel of the single shot nose
or magazine.
5. Use the small round brush

to clean any buildup in
the two holes

Reassembly
1. Align the arrow

2. Rotate the barrel assembly until it locks in place.
3. Follow Steps 4–6 in
Replacing the Piston and Bumper
to replace the piston, bumper and single shot nose
or magazine.
4. Upon reassembly of the tool perform the following test.
a. Depress the tool against a flat, test surface and
pull the trigger. The barrel assembly should slide
smoothly inside the tool housing assembly.
b. Squeeze the trigger

. The firing fastener should
release after the trigger has been pulled.
