to decrease or increase the driving depth
respectively. Each “click“ of the collar equals a
0.02 mm change in driving depth; one complete
revolution equals 2.10 mm.
3. Drive another fastener and readjust the collar (c)
until the desired setting is achieved.
FASTENERS WITHOUT SEALING WASHERS
1. Drive a fastener into a waste piece and visually
check the driving depth.
2. Increase or decrease the driving depth with the
help of the collar (c).
NOTE:
If necessary measure the torque by
means of a torque wrench referring to the screw
manufacturer’s torque specifications.
Replacing the Depth Locator (fi g. 5)
1. Unscrew the dust seal (s).
2. Replace the depth locator (d).
3. Tighten the dust seal (s).
Forward/Reverse Slider (fi g. 6)
For forward rotation (screw in), release the variable
speed switch (a) and depress the forward/reverse
slider (b) on the right side of the tool, as shown.
For reverse rotation (screw out), release the variable
speed switch (a) and depress the forward/reverse
slider (b) on the left side of the tool, as shown.
With the forward/reverse slider in central position the
tool is locked in OFF-position.
WARNING:
Always release the variable
speed switch (a) and wait until the
motor has come to a complete standstill
before changing the direction of rotation.
Two-gear Selector (fi g. 1)
Your tool is fitted with a two gear selector (e) to vary
the speed/torque ratio.
1. low speed/high torque
2. high speed/low torque
For speed rates, refer to the technical data.
WARNING:
•
Always push the two gear selector
completely forward or backward.
•
Do not change gears at full speed or
during use.
Prior to Operation
1. Make sure your battery pack is (fully) charged.
2. Insert the appropriate drive accessory.
3. Select forward or reverse rotation.
4. Set the appropriate driving depth.
OPERATION
Instructions for Use
WARNING:
Always observe the safety
instructions and applicable regulations.
WARNING: To reduce the risk
of serious personal injury, turn
tool off and disconnect tool from
power source before making any
adjustments or removing/installing
attachments or accessories.
Proper Hand Position (fi g. 1, 7)
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury,
ALWAYS
use
proper hand position as shown.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of
serious personal injury,
ALWAYS
hold
securely in anticipation of a sudden
reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the pistol
grip (g), as shown.
Switching On and Off (fi g. 1)
1.
To run the tool, press the variable speed switch
(a). The pressure exerted on the variable speed
switch determines the tool speed.
2. To stop the tool, release the variable speed
switch (a).
3.
To lock the tool in OFF-position, move the
forward/reverse slider (b) to the central position.
Screwdriving
• For best results, hold the screwdriver with the
hand directly in line with the fastener and press
the variable speed switch with the last one
or two fingers of the hand. This reduces the
chance of the screw slipping from the drive
accessory when pressure is applied.
• To drive the fastener, place it on the bit or into
the socket or nutsetter, press the variable speed
switch and push the fastener into the workpiece
with a smooth, continuous motion. When the
fastener is seated, the clutch will disengage
automatically.
Various types of 1/4
"
hex bits, holders, sockets and
adaptors are available as an option.
Consult your dealer for further information on the
appropriate accessories.
