REPLACEMENT PARTS

The detector is not designed to be repaired in the field.  If 

a problem should develop, refer to the "Troubleshooting" 

section. If it is determined that the problem is caused by 

an electronic defect, the device must be returned to the 

factory for repair.

DEVICE REPAIR AND RETURN

Prior to returning devices, contact the nearest local 

Detector Electronics office so that a Return Material 

Identification (RMI) number can be assigned.

failure. When items are being returned, please note:

NOTE

Shipping personnel must be hazmat trained to 
pack, mark, and label the return package. Please 
consult your country-specific regulations.

Pack the unit properly. Always use sufficient packing 

material. Where applicable, use an antistatic bag as 

protection from electrostatic discharge.

NOTE

Det-Tronics reserves the right to apply a service 
charge for repairing returned product damaged as 
a result of improper packaging.

Return all equipment transportation prepaid to the factory 

in Minneapolis.

NOTE 

It is highly recommended that a complete spare 
be kept on hand for field replacement to ensure 
continuous protection. 

NOTE 

Radioactive material is subject to regulation.  
All products containing a source tube meet 
the definition of an "excepted package" for 
radioactive material under the US Department of 
Transportation (DOT), the International Air Transport 
Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation 
Organization (ICAO), the International Maritime 
Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG), and any other 
specific hazardous material regulations from the 
country of source of return (TDG, RID, ADR, etc.). 
These units are classified as "UN2911, Radioactive 
Material, Excepted Package – Article."
