1.
Place log #1 (back log) on grate. Make
sure the lower middle section of the log
fits securely into the open area in back
of grate (see Figure 49).
2.
Place log #2 (two log assembly) onto pins
on left and right of the front burner (see
Figure 50). The middle pin is not used.
3.
Place log #3 (crossover assembly) onto
the notched out section of log #2. Log
#3 rests on the back portion of front log
and in the crook of back log (see Fig-
ure 51).
4.
Place lava rock along sides and front of
firebox bottom.
NOTICE: Do not put lava rock on
burner or under burner. Placing
lava rock on burner could cause
performance problems.
It is not necessary to use all of the lava
rock provided.
Each log is marked with a number. These
numbers will help you identify the log when
installing. It is very important to install
these logs exactly as instructed. Do not
modify logs. Only use logs supplied with
fireplace.
Remove glass door. See Removing/Replacing
Glass Door, page 22. Install logs according to
instructions for fireplace model numbers.
WARNING: Failure to position
the parts in accordance with these
diagrams or failure to use only
parts specifically approved with
this heater may result in property
damage or personal injury.
INSTALLING LOGS, LAVA
ROCK AND GLOWING
EMBERS
5.
Pull ember material apart into pieces no
larger than a dime. Place these pieces
loosely onto the exposed section of the
front burner and space between logs 2
and 3 where front burner is exposed (see
Figure 52). This will create the glowing
appearance as the flame touches the em-
ber material. Do not block ports by us-
ing too much ember material in one area.
It is not necessary to use all of the em-
ber material provided.
6.
Replace the glass door. See Removing/
Replacing Glass Door, page 22.
