FABRICATION OF FULL AND
PARTIAL DENTURES, OCCLUSAL
SPLINTS AND NIGHT GUARDS
Note:
Lucitone FRS resin should not be
used on large, full dentures.
Lucitone FRS resin is indicated
for partial dentures, small to
medium full dentures, and night
guards. For a firmer, resilient
flexibility, finish the Lucitone
FRS flexible partial to no less
than 2mm thickness. For the
most flexibility, finish no less
than 1.5mm thickness.
I. INVESTMENT AND SPRUING
Soak the cast and wax-up in water
for 25 minutes prior to investing. Mix
investment and follow normal
Success Instructions to embed the
cast and wax-up in the lower half of
the Success Flask.
IMPORTANT:
REMOVE ALL EXCESS
INVESTMENT FROM THE FLAT LAND
AREA OF THE FLASK.
Use wax sticks, such as the D-
shaped Success Sprue Wax Sticks
(7mm X 180mm, Item #904584) to
build the injection sprues. On full
upper dentures, attach the sprue to
the posterior border of the denture
and make sure the sprue is
sufficiently wide. Extend the sprue
over the palate area to allow
adequate flow of the material
throughout the palate area (Figure 1).
For partial dentures, lower full
dentures, occlusal splints and night
guards, attach the sprue to both
lingual extensions, as well as in the
mid-line as shown in Figure 2.
Following investment of the lower half
of the case, embed the upper half of
the flask following normal Success
Instructions.
