WHERE NOT TO INSTALL CO ALARM
Within 1.5m (5 feet) of any gas appliance as furnace.

In any high level of dusty, dirty or greasy area

In damp or very humid areas, outdoor room or next to bathroom, at least

installed the alarm 3 meters (10 feet) away from the bathroom.
In very cold or very hot area where the temperature could not be less than
•
-10ºC or greater than 40ºC.
Humidity is less than 30% RH or more than 90% RH.
•
In direct sunlight and direct above a sink or cooker.
•
Behind drapes, curtains, furniture or other obstruction.
•
In unheated basements or garages.
•
In location where they are exposed to chemical solvents or cleaners.
•
Near vents, flues and chimneys.
•
Near heating and cooking appliances.
•
In turbulent air, like near ceiling fans, heat vent, air conditioners, fresh air
•
return, or near the open window, because of the blowing air may delay
CO from reaching the alarm.
