Steps

Insert the hard drive into the hard drive carrier with the connector end of the hard drive facing the back of the hard drive carrier.

Align the screw holes on the hard drive with the screw holes on the hard drive carrier.
When aligned correctly, the back of the hard drive is flush with the back of the hard drive carrier.
3
Install the screws to secure the hard drive to the hard drive carrier.

Optical drive (optional)
Optical drives retrieve and store data on optical discs such as CD and DVD. Optical drives can be categorized into two basic types: optical
disc readers and optical disc writers.
Removing the optical drive

Steps
1
Slide the release latch in the direction of the arrow to release the ejector handle.

Hold the ejector handle and pull the optical drive out of the system.

To remove the optical drive from the optical drive carrier, pull the tab on the cable to disconnect the cable from the connector on the
optical drive .
4
Flex the left side wall of the optical drive carrier to release the optical drive from the carrier.
