Chassis Intrusion Switch (Service-Only Procedure)
Removing the Chassis Intrusion Switch

Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.

Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 46.

Remove the top cooling shroud. See "Removing the Cooling Shrouds" on page 49.

If present, remove the heat sink from processor 4. See "Processors" on page 62.
5
Disconnect the intrusion-switch cable from its system board connector. See Figure 3-25.
6
Grasp the intrusion switch and slowly and firmly pull the switch out from the intrusion-switch clip.
