Appendix G 
Additional instructions for operating the Single Light-weight kit 
The Single Light-weight kit does not have its own internal battery. Instead, it can 
be powered by either the 12volt DC power supply (supplied as part of the kit), the 
external battery pack or via a vehicle battery using the connection lead provided. 
See section 5.4.6. 
 
 
 
Appendix H 
Additional instructions for operating the External Battery Pack 
The external battery pack can be used with both the Double Incubator kit and 
Single Lightweight Kit. 
 

•

 

 To charge the battery, connect the battery charger to the 3-pin socket and 
charge for 12 hours 

•

 

Never allow the battery pack to discharge completely. The useful life of the 
battery will be maximised if the battery pack is always kept in a well-charged 
state. In order to ensure this, it is advisable to recharge the battery pack fully at 
weekends. If the battery pack is in storage, recharge the battery once a month. 

•

 

Do not allow water to enter the battery pack.
