1. Input type
Here you can select the thermocoupler and which type it is.
2. Cold Junction Compensation
This is where the compensation input is selected. It is possible to choose another input that should be used
for cold junction compensation, or the internal temperature in the CIO 308 module can be selected.
4.3.3 Wire fail detection
The CIO 308 module can detect wire fail if the signal goes outside the working range. It depends on the sig-
nal type and working range if a short circuit or a broken cable will be detected.
To prevent a false "Wire fail" alarm, small deviations from the working area are accepted for some signals.
