4.1 Screwing the test prod in place

When attaching / removing test prods with rain cap, no

mechanical forces may act on them.

Ensure tight ﬁt of the assembled elements.

Before screwing the test prod in place, check the sealing

ring (O-ring) on the screw-in element of the test

prod for good order and condition and perfect ﬁt.

Replace worn out sealing rings (DEHN Part No. 767

779).

4.2 Indicators

Two different types of indicators are available for

PHE3...

voltage detectors.

4.2.1

Indicators with universal gear coupling

Only

use insulating sticks of the same coupling type

(universal gear coupling) for indicators with universal

gear coupling!

Assembly

Plug the indicator with universal gear coupling into the

coupling element of the insulating stick and tighten the

knurled screw.

Ensure that the teeth engage with one another.

The inclination angle can be adjusted ± max. 30° (see

Fig. 4.2.1).

4.2.2

Indicators with M12 threaded pin

Only

use insulating sticks of the same coupling type

(M12 threaded bushing) for indicators with M12

threaded pin!

Assembly

Place the indicator with M12 threaded pin above the

coupling element (M12 threaded bushing) of the insula-

ting stick and screw it hand-tight (see Fig. 4.2.2)
