For the connection of the
HVI
®
conductor light
to the insulating pipe consturction (connecting plate)
and the air-termination system/metal capping, the components of the connection set, Part No. 819 299,
are required (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 9, page 12).
For further information on the installation of the supporting tube construction (air-termination mast
50), please refer to installation instructions Publication No. 1475 "Isolated air-termination system,
DEHNiso Combi".
3. Installation of HVI
®
conductors light
The entire
HVI
®
conductor light
has to be installed in the protection area of the air-termination system
of the external lightning protection system.
It is not allowed to connect
HVI
®
conductors light
to parts of the air-termination system, down
conductor or building construction which carry lightning voltage.
An exception can be made if the separation distance s at the junction of the
HVI
®
conductor light
and the part carrying lightning voltage (air-termination system, metal capping or down conductor) is
≤
35 cm (in air) or
≤
70 cm (solid material). In this case, connection/contact between the
HVI
®
conductor
light
and the part carrying lightning voltage is permitted (different electric strength due to change of
voltage direction).
The
HVI
®
conductor light
has to be installed e.g. in the roof area at distances of approx. 1 m using
e.g. an FB roof conductor holder, Part No. 253 015, with adapter, Part No. 253 026.
Fixing screws of metal conductor holders have to be tightened with a torque of max. 5 Nm, fixing screws
of plastic roof conductor holders with a tightening torque of max. 2 Nm.
