Formatting a Card on a Macintosh
Dazzle strongly recommends that you format your digital media cards in your digital device
(camera, MP3 player, cell phone, etc.). However, there may be times when you need to
format a card in the 3 in 1 Reader/Writer. In some cases, your digital device may not have
a format option, or you may be required or prompted to format a card.
Caution:
Formatting a CompactFlash, Smar tMedia, or Memor y Stick card completely
erases any data stored on the card. If there are impor tant images or files you want to
safeguard for later use, save a backup copy on your hard drive, CD-R drive, or other type
of removable media
before formatting a card.
