Free DV File Converter Software CD 

 

Software Overview 

Datavideo DV File Converter

 is a video file 

converter developed for broadcasters and other 
video professionals using the DVCPRO format. It 
is a sort of swiss army knife to do all kinds of 
processing on files containing compressed DV / 
DVCAM / DVCPRO25 video data. Most DV editing 
software can read and write in only one format 
and will refuse to load another format or a file 
written with a different codec. With 

Datavideo DV 

File Converter

 you can convert your DV / DVCAM 

/ DVCPRO25 video files to a required file format 
without quality loss. 
 

NOTE:

 the 

Datavideo DV File Converter 

can 

handle only DV / DVCAM / DVCPRO25 video 
files. 

HDV .m2t files cannot be converted with 

this software.

 

 

Minimum system requirements 

 

Intel Pentium III 500 Mhz processor or faster  
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP 32bit OS (Mac OS not supported) 
DirectX  
128MB of RAM 
  

Software Registration 

The CD contains the Datavideo DV File Converter trial software. This allows the user trial access to the 
software for evaluation and any video files converted will show watermark text in the video playback. An 
activation code allows the software to produce files without the watermark text. Datavideo will provide one 
FREE activation code per unit via the following web link:

PC Software Installation and Removal 

Install the application by executing the self-extracting archive on the CD called Datavideo DV 
File Converter. When the files are uncompressed (into 

C:\Program Files\Datavideo

 by 

default) double click on "

DVFileConverter

" or click on the desktop shortcut icon. 

 

Removal:

 select "Uninstall Datavideo DV File Converter" from the Windows Start menu, Programs section.

 

 

Software instructions 

Once installed either as a trial or fully activated version the software instructions can be accessed by using 
the windows file path C:\ Program Files\ Datavideo\ ReadMeFileConverter1.html or by clicking the
