Reassembly

Figure D-3.  UTP Cable Assembly

1.

 

Insert each wire into its terminal and tighten screw until snug
(see Figure D-3).  If you’re using ScTP, connect the drain wire
to the center screw terminal of the center terminal strip.

2.

 

Check to see that there are no stray wire strands outside
terminal clamps and make sure all wires are properly tightened
into their terminals.

3.

 

Make sure that each pair twist is correct, and that the four wire
pairs exit radially from the cable jacket as before.  Rotate the
entire cable so the fan of wires is flat and parallel to the circuit
board.
