The

Computer

will

display

message

saying

that

new

hardware

found

and

the

driver

being

installed.

The Datacolor 45 uses

Serial

over

USB

communication,

you

will

need

open

the

Device

Manager

the

Control

panel.

Open

the

Ports

(COM

LPT)

section:

You will see the Datacolor 45 listed with a Com Port address. Make note of that address and close the

device manager. This step is only necessary for the first time an instrument is connected To the Tools

software. This address will be remembered by the software after you enter the information in the procedure

below.
