Using Datacolor PAINT
Datacolor 20D offers two options for use with Datacolor PAINT:
The instrument can gather measurement data at remote locations. The data can then be uploaded
from the instrument to the computer for use with Datacolor PAINT.

The instrument can be used as the measuring instrument with Datacolor PAINT.

Datacolor PAINT Installation
Datacolor PAINT is a product that is purchased separately. It includes a DVD that contains the program.
The installation procedure will launch automatically when the DVD is inserted into the drive. Follow the
prompts on the screen to complete the Datacolor PAINT installation.
You must also have a database compatible with the materials from your paint manufacturer.
Instrument Communications
When using the Datacolor 20D with Datacolor PAINT, the instrument can communicate with the computer
using either a USB cable or a Bluetooth® connection. A USB cable is provided with the instrument.
Connect the instrument to the computer either using a USB cable or a Bluetooth wireless connection before
launching Datacolor PAINT.

Launching Datacolor PAINT
1. Power up the instrument.
2. Connect the instrument to the computer, using either the USB or Bluetooth wireless connection.
