Loading the Device Driver
To load the DT300 Series device driver in Windows 98, follow the
steps in the next section. To load the DT300 Series device driver in
Windows Me, follow the steps on
page 20 . To load the DT300 Series
device driver in Windows NT 4.0, follow the steps on page 20 . To load
the DT300 Series device driver in Windows 2000, follow the steps on
page 21 .
Windows 98
Once you have installed the DT300 Series driver from the Data
Acquisition OMNI CD, installed a DT300 Series board, and powered
up the host computer, the New Hardware Found dialog box appears,
followed by the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box. Perform the
following steps to load the device driver in Windows 98:
1. Click Next.
2. Click Search for the best driver for your device
(Recommended)
, then click Next.
3. Click Specify a location, browse to the
Windows/System32/Drivers directory on your hard drive, then
click Next.
4. Click Next.
The files are copied.
5. Click Finish.
6. Open the Control Panel.
7. Double-click the Open Layers Control Panel icon.
8. Select the DT300 Series board to configure, then click Advanced.
By default, the prompt “Handles Overloaded Bus?” is checked.
9. If you are using an Optiplex computer or experience timing
problems with your DT300 Series board, uncheck this box.
10. When you are finished, click Close.
