Fasten your ballasts and wires to your engine bay in an area away from any moving parts. If you have
flip up headlights, be sure to check for clearance or potential areas of contact/impingement.
Warning:
Diode Polarity
In some cases, you may need to switch the
polarity on the diodes for your high/low to work
properly.
If this is the case, you must switch the polarity of
your small black/red diode (Part #3) to (red black
/ red black). Try your low and high beams again.
If this works, move on to the next step. If you are still having issues, please double check all of your
connections. If you are still having issues, please contact a Dapper Lighting Technician before moving on.
Mounting Ballasts and Wiring
Now that you have your Dapper Lighting Universal Projector HID Kit configured correctly and have tested to
make sure your low and high beams work, it’s time to secure wiring and ballasts.
Ballast Fastening
Not all cars use the same ballast mounting points or wiring paths. Because of this, you will be able to choose
where you run wires and mount your ballasts. We have included metal brackets, double sided tape, and zip
ties (Part #8) to help with the installation.
