Main switch
Switches off power supply to the unit and the electric heating element, if
any.
Reset button for compressor thermal relay is located in the central part of the control panel.
4.2 Hygrostat connection
If you want to maintain a certain relative humidity in the room, a hygrostat (accessory) is required. The hygrostat is
connected to the terminals 1 and 2 of the terminal strip located underneath the power supply connection – the right-
hand control panel.
The hygrostat should be installed as far away from the unit as possible to ensure the dehumidifier does not
influence the hygrostat with its dry air. Care should be taken to avoid installation where the hygrostat is exposed to
direct sunlight. The hygrostat output is 24 V.
The change-over switch (Drop) on the left-hand control panel must be set to pos. AUT when a hygrostat is used.
4.3 Thermostat connection
CDS units delivered with an in-built electric heating element may require a thermostat (accessory) to control the
heat. The thermostat is connected to terminals 3 and 4 of the terminal strip located underneath the power supply
connection – the right-hand control panel.
The thermostat must be installed at some distance from the dehumidifier, to prevent warm air from the
dehumidifier influencing the function of the thermostat. Care should also be taken to avoid installation where it is
exposed to direct sunlight. The thermostat output is 24 V.
The change-over switch (Fire) on the left-hand control panel must be set to pos. 1 when a thermostat is used.
5. Operation
When the dehumidifier has been connected to electricity the green control lamp (Lightning) at the right side of the
control panel lights up. The dehumidifier can now be put into service.
5.1 Dehumidification
The dehumidifier is switched on by setting the change-over switch (Drop) to pos. AUT or MAN. The control lamp
next to the DROP symbol lights up in green.
In pos. MAN the cooling plant will be working continuously. In pos. AUT the cooling plant is controlled by a
hygrostat. No matter whether the switch is in pos. MAN or AUT, both main fan and compressor will be running.
