Soft Starter Pocket Guide

This requires an externally ﬁ tted MCD Proﬁ bus Gateway
(Cat. No: 175G0092)

Notes

Up to 23 MCD3000 soft starters can be used as ASCII slave devices

•

with a single MCD Proﬁ bus Gateway.
Each MCD3000 must have a unique slave address starting from slave

•

address 1 to the number of MCD3000 soft starters
connected on the ASCII side of the MCD Proﬁ bus Gateway.
The MCD Proﬁ bus gateway address (as seen by the Proﬁ bus DP

•

master) is set using DIP switches 1 to 8 on the MCD Proﬁ bus Gateway.
Both ASCII soft starter and Proﬁ bus DP cable termination is provided

•

using standard DB9 connectors on the MCD Proﬁ bus Gateway.
If you require use of the MCD Remote Operator with your installa-

tion, refer to product note 01, MCD Proﬁ bus Gateway and Remote
Operator compatibility.
