5.2.4 Initial configuration of network ports

Ethernet port 1 and 2 on an I/O Interface are used for connecting the cluster, while Ethernet port 3
and 4 are for general purpose. It is possible to use the external port for the following features:

1.

Receiving data (typical NMEA strings) via TCP/IP

2.

Transmitting images to a VDR via IEC61162-450

3.

Synchronizing charts from a NavBox

Leave the ports disabled unless you are planning to use any of the above features.
