CalculatePRNUAlgorithmTargetValue 

 

 

Perform all analog adjustments before calibrating PRNU.  

 

This command performs the same function as the 

CorrectionCalibratePRNU 

command but forces you to 

enter a target value. 

 

Calibrate FPN before calibrating PRNU. If you are not 
performing FPN calibration then issue the 

ResetPixelCoefficients

 (reset pixel coefficients) 

command and set the 

DigitalOffsetRaw

 (set digital offset) 

value so that the output is near zero under dark. 

 

Note: Refer to Calibrating the Camera to Remove Non-
Uniformity (Flat Field Correction)on page 47 for a procedural 
overview on performing flat field correction. 

Subtracting Background 

Use the background subtract commands after performing flat field correction if you want 
to improve your image in a low contrast scene. It is useful for systems that process 8 bit 
data but want to take advantage of the camera’s 12 bit digital processing chain. You 
should try to make your darkest pixel in the scene equal to zero.
