Set Exposure Time
To set the camera’s exposure time, use the
Exposure Time
parameter—a member of the
Sensor Controls set. This feature is only available when the
Exposure
Mode
parameter is
set to
Timed
. The allowable exposure range is dependent on the value of the internal line
rate.
GenICam parameters:
Sensor Controls > Exposure Time (Timed Exposure Mode) > 2.6 µs to LinePeriod
–
2.5 µs.
Control Gain and Black Level
The cameras provide gain and black level adjustments in the digital domain for the CMOS
sensor. The gain and black level controls can make small compensations to the acquisition
in situations where lighting varies and the lens iris cannot be easily adjusted. The user can
evaluate gain and black level by using CamExpert.
The parameters that control gain and black level are grouped together in the Sensor
Controls set.
Sensor Controls
Black Level
Apply a digital addition after an FPN correction: available range of
-256 to +255.9375 by step of 0.0625
Gain
Set the gain as an amplification factor applied to the video signal
across all pixels: 1x to 3.999x by step of 1/1024
