System Logic Flow and Input Options
2.1 VIP 4500 System Logic Flow
The VIP 4500 accepts both digital and analog video sources as well as content from the DMP.
DMP
content is sent using Daktronics’ proprietary VMax4
TM
signal. DMP
content consists of
real-time data, animations, AVIs, schedules, and sequences.
After the VIP 4500
processes the incoming video signals, it sends a VMax4
TM
signal to an A/B
switch. Primary system is routed to port A while the backup system is routed to port B. If the
primary system goes down the user simply uses the A/B switch to start sending data from
the backup system.
illustrates one of numerous ways to configure a control system. Please contact a
Daktronics project manager for specific information on a system.
2.2 VIP 4500 Processor Input and Output Options
Each processor is capable of simultaneously displaying four total video sources in addition to
one VMax4
TM
signal. The sources can be composed of a variety of video standards.
