Set the VIP 4500 to control by clicking the
drop-down arrow
next to VLink Index
.
Then
select the desired processor or press
[Alt] + [X]
to move the cursor to the VLink Index text
box and use the
[up]
and
[down arrows]
to select the desired VIP 4500.

Set the output channel by clicking the
drop-down arrow
next to VLink Channel or by
pressing
[Alt] + [C]
and using the
[up]
and
[down arrows]
to select the desired channel.
Each processor outputs four channels.

When ready to play video on the display, click inside the
Data Source
text box and
choose
Video
or press
[Alt
]
+ [A]
to move the cursor to the Data Source text box and use
the
[up]
and
[down arrows]
to select
Video
.
Note:
If the monitor window is open, no video plays on the display because the video
does not send to the computer. The Venus software data continues on the monitor
.

To select a different input from a different VIP 4500 processor, click inside the
VLink
Index
text box and select a different processor
from the drop-down menu. Then select the
desired input
from the Input drop-down menu. Users may also press
[Alt] + [I]
to move
the cursor to the Input text box and use the
[up]
and
[down arrows]
to select the
new input.

To return to the box showing Venus sequences, click the
drop-down arrow
next to Data
Source and click
Venus
or press
[Alt] + [A]
to move the cursor to the Data Source text box
and use the
[up]
and
[down arrows]
to select
Venus
.

To go to Overlay Mode, click the
drop-down arrow
next to Data Source and then click
Overlayed
or press
[Alt] +
[A]
to move the cursor to the Data Source text box and use the
[up]
and
[down arrows]
to select
Overlayed
.
Note:
Overlay Mode allows for the display of any desired DMP sequences. Once a
sequence with the key color displays, video plays inside the key color area

When finished with the V7 VLink Controller dialog box, select
Close
to close the
dialog box.
Note:
Spend time practicing the various functions, such as switching between video
sources and inputs.
