Acoustic presence indicator
Useful information

Vehicles with an electric motor generate

much less driving noise than vehicles with

internal combustion engines. As a result,

your vehicle may not be heard by other road

users in certain situations.

In order to allow your vehicle to be heard

when it is moving at slow speeds, a sound

generator installed in the vehicle produces a

specific noise at speeds between 0 and

18 mph (30 km/h). This function is called the

acoustic presence indicator. It makes it pos-

sible for other road users, especially pedes-

trians and cyclists, to hear the vehicle bet-
