4.21 Radiation Fin Temperature Rise

Malfunction 
Detection

A radiation fin temperature rise is detected by checking the radiation fin thermistor with the 
compressor on.

Malfunction 
Decision 
Conditions

The radiation fin temperature with the compressor on is above 221°F(105°C).

The error is cleared when the temperature drops below 206.6°F(97°C).

If a radiation fin temperature rise takes place 4 times successively, the system will be shut 
down.

The error counter will reset itself if this or any other error does not occur during the following 60-
minute compressor running time (total time).

Fin temperature rise due to short-circuit

Fin thermistor defective

Connector in poor contact

Outdoor unit PCB defective

Silicon grease is not applied properly on the heat radiation fin after replacing outdoor unit PCB
