8. Swing Motors
Warning
Š
Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all power supplies before
disassembling work.
Caution
Š
When reassembling, do not confuse the installing order of the 2 motors for horizontal
blades and the colors of the connectors.
If you set the connectors or motors opposite, the horizontal blades do not move
smoothly or noise may be heard.
Step Procedure Points
1. Remove the swing motor
for vertical blades.

Lift the indoor unit with a
wooden base for easy work.

Use the short screwdriver
from the back.
1 Remove the screw
behind the drain hose,
and disconnect the
drain hose.
2 Remove the screw at
the rear, and remove
the 2 screws on the
right and the left side of
the swing motors for
horizontal blades.
3 Detach the pivot from
the interlock shaft for
vertical blades with a
flat screwdriver to
disconnect it from the
swing motor unit.

Some models have fan
guards.
Remove the fan guards
beforehand.
