To troubleshoot, proceed as follows:

1

Remove obstacles so the
fan rotates correctly or
replace the fan.

2

Reconnect connector.

Try to rotate the

fan with your

hand.

Can

you rotate the

fan smoothly?

No

Check capacitor

Yes

Is

the capacitor in

good condition?

Yes

1

Replace the capacitor.

Reconnect connector.

No

The fan does not

rotate.

Check outdoor

unit type.

Is the unit a

R(Y)P71B?

The unit is a

R(Y)P100-125B

No

Disconnect

connector X14 on

outdoor unit PCB.

Disconnect

connectors X14A

and X15A on

outdoor unit PCB.

Yes

Check motor windings.

Reconnect connector.
