PVR Interface and Operation

3.1

Boot up and Shutdown

There are two ways for you to boot up the device.

z

Press the Power button of the device for over two seconds, PVR system boots up. System

goes to real-time monitor status by default.

z

Press the Record button of the cable control for over two seconds, PVR system boots up.

System goes to record status by default.

There are two ways for you to shutdown the device.

z

When PVR is running properly, press the Power button for three seconds; you can turn off

the PVR. You can see shut down interface and then system begins three-second
countdown. System stops internal operation (such as record or play) first and then shut
down. Before the count down ending, you can release the Power button to terminate current
shut down operation.

z

You can go to the menu and then shutdown the device via the system menu option. See

chapter 3.6.5 Shutdown.

Note

When there is strong interference from the outside or there is invalid system operation, you can
turn off the power and reload again.

3.2

Standby and Wake up

There are two ways for you to let the device standby.

z

When PVR is running properly, press the Standby button of the cable control for three

seconds; you can let the PVR standby. You can see standby interface and then system
begins three-second countdown. System stops internal operation (such as record or play)
first and then become standby. Before the count down ending, you can release the standby
button to terminate current standby operation.

z

You can go to the menu and then set the standby time via the system menu option. See
chapter 3.6.3.2 Power setup.

There are two ways for you to wake up the device.

z

When the device is standby, you can press the Power button at the front panel for three

seconds to wake up the device. System goes to the real-time monitor status by default.

z

You can press the Record button of the cable control for over three seconds to go to the
record status.

3.3

Lock/Unlock

Press the left/right button once respectively within two seconds, you can lock the device, Repeat
the operation, you can unlock the device
If you press any button when the device is locked, system pops up the following dialogue box.
See Figure 3-1.
