Connecting the Water Line to the
Refrigerator
1. Determine the length of copper tubing
you need. Add 7 ft (2.1 m) to allow the
refrigerator to be pulled out for cleaning.
Be sure both ends of the copper tubing
are cut square.
2. Remove the plastic cover

the water inlet

on the back of the
refrigerator.
3. Place the compression nut

and
sleeve
D
on the end of the copper
tubing

as shown below. Do not use
an old sleeve.
4. Place the end of the copper tubing into
the water inlet

5. Slide the compression nut down.
6. Using an adjustable wrench, tighten the
compression nut. Do not overtighten.
Connecting the Water Line to the
Water Supply
Connect the water line to a water supply
valve. If a valve is not present or you are not
sure, consult a qualified plumber.
1. Slip the compression nut

compression sleeve

on the copper
tubing

as shown below.
2. Insert the end of the tubing into the the
water supply connection

squarely as
far as it will go.
3. Using an adjustable wrench, tighten the
compression nut. Do not overtighten.
4. After turning on the water valve, make
sure that there is no leakage at both
connection points. If there is leakage,
turn off the valve immediately and tighten
all joints.
