STEP 1
Make sure power to the circuit that supplies power to the hood is turned off.
STEP 2
Install the duct collar or exhaust cowling on the top of the hood assembly as shown,
using the screws included with the hood.
STEP 3
Install the hood on the wall according to the installation instructions included with
the hood.
STEP 4
Install the chimney mounting bracket according to the hood installation instructions.
STEP 5
Wire the hood according to the hood
installation instructions.
STEP 6
Measure the distance between the top
of the hood and the ceiling, where the
chimney mounting bracket is installed.
STEP 7
Determine the required duct length by
subtracting the number from the table
below from the distance measured in
step 6.

STEP 8
Using tin snips, cut the 8-inch round duct
to the length determined in step 7.
