3. Router Installation
This section guides the user to complete the installation of DI-2621 modulor Router , including the following
sections:

Only trained and qualified personnels should be allowed to install or replace the equipment.
3.1 Installing tools and equipment
The tools and equipment needed possible for installation are not provided as the standard equipment with the
router , so pleade prepare them by yourself.
The fowllowing are tools and equipment needed for typical Router installation:

Cable for connecting LAN and WAN
HUB or PC with Ethernet card

3.2 Router chassis installation
The Router chassis can be set on a desktop or mounted in a rack or other flat surface .The operation steps of the
chapter will meet your network installation need well , including the following sections:
3.2.1 Setting the chassis on a desktop
The DI-2621Modulor Router can be put on smooth , flat and secure desktop directly.
Notes :
Do not put anything that weighs more than 10 pounds(4.5Kg )on the top of the router.Over weight on the top could damage the chassis.
3.2.2 Mounting the chassis in a rack
(1) The router is installed on the chassis by brackets and mounted the chassis with the front panel forward .

The above example only show how to connect the brackets to one side of chassis . The second bracket connects to the opposite side of
the chassis.
(2) After the brackets are secured to the chassis , you can rack-mount it .As the following figure :
