DGS-3224TGR Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Switch User’s Guide

config snmp system_name

Purpose

Used to configure a name for the switch.

Syntax

config snmp system_name <sw_name>

Description

This command is used to give the switch an
alpha-numeric name of up to 128
characters.

Parameters

<sw_name>

−

An alpha-numeric name for

the switch of up to 128 characters.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.

Example Usage:

To configure the switch name for “DGS3224TGR”:

DGS-3224TGR:4#config snmp system_name
DGS3224TGR
