PRIOR TO USE
Charging Sense Laser
1.
Remove all components from the box.
2.
Plug the charge station using the power adaptor included (no LED will light on the charging station if the main
unit is not yet placed on it).
3.
Place the main unit in the charge station and charge it until battery light is full (charging time 2,5 hours
aprox.). A blue LED will start lighting on the charging station when the main unit is well placed and connected
to the charging station.

- Green: Battery full
- Green: Battery full
- Red: Low battery
4. The Sense Laser can remain charging, with the charge station plugged in, for extended periods of time
without damage.
Note
: To prevent damage to your Sense Laser, use only the included charge station power adaptor.
PRIOR TO TREATMENT
Note: Please read all instructions and safety precautions carefully prior to treatment.

Sense Laser should ideally be used on the legs, underarms, bikini line, chest, back, stomach, arms, upper
lips, cheek, jaw and neck.
z
Do not use the device over mucous membranes i.e nose and ears.
z
Do not use the device on naturally blonde, red or white hair.
z
Do not use the device over piercing or any metal items such as earrings or jewellery.
z
Do a spot test on a small patch of skin in the intended treatment area, 24 hours prior to first use of the Laser
(
see spot test page 4).
z
Retest your skin with a new spot test if your skin tanned (sunny seasons).
z
Sense Laser is not suitable for Afro-Caribbean or black skin complexions.
z
Keep out of children’s reach.
z
The device is to be used for hair reduction purposes only. Do not use it for any other purpose.
z
Use Sense Laser only according to the instructions for use.
PREPARING SKIN TO TREATMENT
Note
: Do not epilate (whether using an electric epilator or wax) in the previous 4 weeks before using the Sense
Laser. The epilation (removal of hair from the root) will make the laser treatment ineffective.
1. Clean and free your skin of any residue such as powders, creams, make-up, anti-perspirants or deodorants.
Warning!
NEVER use flammable liquids such as alcohol or acetone to clean the skin before using the laser
2. Shave the area to be treated. This removes the surface hair so the light better penetrates to reach the follicle.
4. Dry the area to be treated.
Testing Sense Laser by performing a Spot Test
The spot test is intended to determine your skin reactions to the treatment and help you select the optimal
energy level for each treatment area.
Do a spot test on each area you intend to treat 24 hours prior to the full treatment.
1. Charge the Sense Laser and prepare your skin for treatment (read above).
2.

the charging station once the battery light is full.

Press and hold the power button to turn on the unit. The device sets itself on the lowest energy level (first
blue LED lighting).
4.
Place the treatment window flat against your skin and hold it for 1 second. The device will start shooting
automatically and you will hear a persistent beep.
5.
If level 1 was tolerate for you, then increase to level 2, using the power button, and repeat step 4 in a different
spot of the testing area.
6.
Only if you feel comfortable repeat steps 4 to 5 until you have reached the maximum energy Level of 5. Stop
the test once you do not feel comfortable, increasing the energy level increases the risk of adverse effects. If
you see adverse effects such as severe redness or blistering stop the test immediately.
7.
Wait 24 hours and examine the tested area. If the skin in the test area seems normal (no response or mild
redness) you can proceed with a full treatment in the highest comfortable energy level you tested. If you see
extreme redness, swelling or blistering, even in the low energy level settings do not do the full treatment in
that area.
Note:
Do not treat full areas in energy levels you have not tested before.
Do not treat the tested area for at least 1 week after the spot test is done. Use the table below to make a note of
the energy level that suits you for different areas you wish to treat.
