MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Cleaning
is usually the only maintenance re
-
quired.
DISHWASHER SAFE:
Turntable support.
Glass turntable.
Crisp handle.
If the oven is not kept clean,
its surfaces may
become damaged, which in turn can reduce the
oven's service life and cause dangerous situa
-
tions.
Do not use metal scouring
pads,
abrasive cleans
-
ers
, steel-wool pads,
gritty washcloths, etc.
which can damage the
control panel, and the interior and ex
-
terior oven surfaces. Use a sponge with
a mild detergent or a paper towel with
spray glass cleaner. Apply spray glass
cleaner to a paper towel.
Do not spray
directly onto the oven sur
-
faces.
Remove the turntable and sup
-
port from time to time
in order
to clean the bottom of the oven,
particularly if food has boiled
over or spilled.
The turntable must always
be in place when
the microwave is used.
Never operate
the oven when the turn
-
table has been removed for cleaning.
Always use a mild detergent,
water and a
soft cloth to clean the interior surfaces, front
and rear of the door and the door opening.
Do not allow grease
or food particles
to build up around the door.
Do not use steam cleaning appliances
when cleaning your microwave oven.
Unpleasant odours in the oven
can be elim-
inated by boiling a small bowl of water with
lemon juice for a few minutes.
Stubborn stains are easy to remove
if you
place a bowl of water in the microwave oven
and allow to boil for 2-3 minutes. Steam will
soften the marks.
CAREFUL CLEANING:
The Crisp-plate
should be cleaned
in mild, detergent water.
Heavily soiled areas can
be cleaned with a scouring
sponge and a mild cleanser.
Always
allow the Crisp-plate to cool before
cleaning.
Do not
immerse or rinse the Crisp-plate
while it is hot. Quick cooling will dam
-
age it.
Do not use steel-wool pads.
They will
scratch the surface.
The grill element
does not need cleaning
since the intense heat will burn off any splash
-
es, but the ceiling above it may need regular
cleaning. This should be done with warm water,
detergent and a sponge. If the Grill is not used
regularly, it should be run for at least 10 min
-
utes a month to burn off any splashes.
