Note on playback operations of DVD-Video and VIDEO CD

Some playback operations and interactivity of DVD-Video and VIDEO CD may be intentionally fixed
by software producers. Since this player plays DVD-Video and VIDEO CD according to the disk
contents that the software producers designed, some playback features may not be available. Users
should also refer to the instructions supplied with the DVD-Video or VIDEO CD.

 

Disk Organizations

The following describes the disk organization/structure for DVD-Video, VIDEO CD and Audio-CD.

 Each title is assigned a title number enabling you to locate the title you want.

Chapter

                  Sections fo a picture or a music piece that are smaller than titles. A title is composed of 
                  several chapters. Each chapter is assigned a chapter number so that the desired chapter 
                  can be located. Depending on the disk, there may be no chapters recorded.

Region Code 

DVD disc today has region code (1 - 6) or had been previously manufactured region free. The region 
codes for DVD were designed to control the exportation of movies to other countries. Your DVD 
player has been programmed at the factory to accept the current region code setting of your location. 
The factory original setting can be determined by searching on shipping box or rear safety label 
located on the DVD player for the Region Code logo.  Should you experience not being able to play a 
DVD disc on your player, you should confirm the Region Code of both the disc and player are the 
identical.  Should it be necessary for you to change the region code setting, you will need to contact 
your dealer or closest service center. 
Region Codes 1-6 territories and logo used to identify the setting of both the DVD player and disc:
