Remove compressor (with guard) and tensioner
from the compressor mount (keep

hardware
with compressor). Support the compressor using
a bungee cord or rope. Do not ever use the hoses
to support the compressor or damage may occur.
Next, remove compressor mount from rear
shipping bracket. See Figure 1.31.

Install compressor mount on the upper right side
of the engine. Use hex head screws and
washers** on top holes and flange hex head
screws on back side bolts. Torque screws to 19 ft
-
lbs (26 N
-
M). See Figure 1.32.
**Note: washers are required on the top holes
so bolt do not bottom out in the engine.
Tip: Start bottom back side screw before
placing the compressor mount on the engine.

Clean the vehicle frame rails on either side of the
floorboard. Apply P.S.A. D

Rubber (9PR09) to the
top surface of the frame rails. Apply along the
inner edge of the surface as shown in Figure
1.33.. Repeat for left side.
